The four categories comprise of NOC A i.e. University Degree, NOC B i.e. Skilled Trades, NOC C Job Specific Training, NOC D i.e. Labor Category. In NOC 2021, there is an involvement of TEER that stands for Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibility. A five-tier hierarchical system will be used to classify different occupations under the new NOC. There will be TEER 0 (Management Occupations), TEER 1 (University Degree), TEER 2 (Apprenticeship or Training), TEER 3 (More than 6 Months of Training), TEER 4 (Years of Experience in Occupation), TEER 5 (Short Work Demonstration as Applicable).
